CYCLING

サイクリング [SAIKURINGU]

An activity using a bicycle. In Japan, the term “cycling” is used in its narrower sense and excludes cycle sports. Japan has quite a few cycling roads featuring spectacular scenery. The most famous among foreign cyclists is the Shimanami Kaido, a 70-km cycling road linking six islands across the Seto Inland Sea. Recently, I’ve decided to ride a bike to work to avoid jam-packed morning trains. Well, to be honest, the real reason was my daughter’s remark about my expanding belly.
