RIDING THE TRAIN

電車[DENSHA]

The train is the most popular means of transportation in Japan. There are many manners such as waiting patiently in line and waiting for the train to unload before boarding. Tourists are often surprised by how on-time, quiet, and clean the train is. It’s 7:40 AM, time to catch the rapid train. Hop on the ninth car to get to work as always. Familiar faces, waiting at the station, hanging on to the hand slings—never talked to any of them, but you know they are your comrades in fighting to live each day to the full. Here comes the train, on time, as always.
