ROCK CLIMBING

ロッククライミング[ROKKU-KURAIMINGU]

Rock climbing used to be considered a genre of mountain climbing but is now recognized as a sport along with the diffusion of free climbing that does not rely on ropes or harnesses. Bouldering, a form of rock climbing performed on artificial rock walls, has been booming in recent years, and more and more people are eager to try rock climbing on real rocks. The word for cheering climbers differs from language to language, such as “Come on!” in English, “Allez!” in French, “¡Benga!” in Spanish, and “Gamba!” in Japanese. Although rock climbing is a solo sport, the cheers make you feel like you are not alone.
