TOKYO DOME

東京ドーム[TŌKYŌ-DŌMU]

Japan’s first baseball stadium with a roof. It is the home field of the Yomiuri Giants baseball team with a maximum seating capacity of 46,000 for baseball games and also hosts music concerts, martial arts events, exhibitions, and other big events. It used to be called by the nickname “The Big Egg” because of the color and shape of its roof. The Tokyo Dome is often used in Japan as a measure for illustrating the size of large spaces. My parents run a livestock farm covering a vast land area. I’ve always wondered how many Tokyo Domes would fit in there.
