SKEWERED CHICKEN

焼き鳥[YAKITORI]

Grilled chicken skewers made from bite-size pieces of meat often eaten with alcoholic beverages. Contrary to their simple appearance, it takes professional skill to skewer food pieces and grill them in such a way that they will cook evenly and look neat and appealing when finished. Yakitori is usually seasoned with salt or taré (soy sauce-based sweet sauce). “Yakitori can be a part of French cuisine,” says Ken, who calls himself a foodie. Taré -type yakitori go well with red wine, and salted ones with white wine.
