AKIHABARA

秋葉原[AKIHABARA]

A major shopping center for household electronic goods, also endearingly called “Akiba” in short, around Akihabara Station in central Tokyo. Akihabara is also considered by many to be the center of Japanese popular culture and a major shopping district for video games, anime, manga, and goods related to pop stars. There is a good chance that you will see cosplayers and maid-café staff here. Akihabara is a trend-setting district today and has been since at least 150 years ago when it was a renowned fashion town with lots of used clothing stores.
