EXPRESSWAY

高速道路[KŌSOKUDŌRO]

An expressway, also referred to as a “freeway” in the Unites States and Australia, “motorway” in England, and “autobahn” in Germany, is a type of highway designed exclusively for high-speed vehicular traffic. Foreign drivers should be aware that expressway tolls are much higher, and the speed limit is different in Japan. Emily, who is used to driving on an autobahn, struggles at first with a narrower and winding Japanese expressway. But she takes up the challenge, switching gears to test her maneuvering techniques as if becoming an F1 driver.
