HAMBURGER

ハンバーガー [HAMBĀGĀ]

Many foreigners complain that Japanese hamburgers are too small. In fact, you seldom find a big American-size hamburger in Japan. However, their small size is well compensated by the fine taste and carefully chosen ingredients, as well as a wide variety of sauce and buns, including buns made of rice. Bob, a backpacker, knows how to find low-budget but delicious Japanese food. He orders a Teriyaki Burger at a fast-food restaurant. He loves the taste of tare, a sweetened, thickened soy sauce, poured over grilled chicken.
