HARAJUKU

原宿[HARAJUKU]

A district in Tokyo known internationally as a center of Japanese young culture and fashion, including “kawaii (cuteness) culture.” Takeshita-dori, the most famous backstreet of Harajuku, is always crowded with young people eating crapes and other sweets while walking in Gothic & Lolita fashion or other peculiar outfits. Alice was surprised to discover that Meiji-Jingu Shrine and the Ukiyoe Museum are also located in Harajuku. It is not only about pop culture but also home to traditional culture and art.
