RENTAL CAR

レンタカー[RENTAKĀ]

A rental car is a convenient option to get to hidden scenic spots or secluded places that cannot be accessed by public transportation alone. To rent a car in Japan, one must be 18 years or older and have an international driver’s license. It may take some getting used to at the beginning as cars in Japan travel on the left side of the road and the steering wheel is on the right side of the vehicle. Mary, in preparation for her trip to Japan next month, is studying intensely Japanese traffic signs, as she plans to explore some out-of-the-way places by driving a rental car.
