RENTAL BIKE(RENT-A-CYCLE)

レンタサイクル[RENTASAIKURU]

Getting around on foot can be a challenge in many tourist areas in Japan like Kyoto and Asakusa where attractive spots are scattered throughout the area. If this is the case, renting a bike is a convenient alternative. Rental bikes are offered mostly by rental shops from and to which you rent and return a bike. Bicycle-sharing systems are also on the rise which allow people to borrow a bike from a “dock” and return it at another dock belonging to the same system. These days, you can also rent a pedelec (pedal electric bicycle), which can be a powerful aid in getting around areas with many hills and slopes, such as Tokyo, Kamakura, Atami, Nagasaki, Hakodate, and Onomichi.
