RHYTHMIC CLAPPING AT CELEBRATIONS

手締め[TEJIME]

Tejime is a Japanese custom to celebrate the sound completion of a project or event. “Iccho-jime”, “Ippon-jime”, and “sanbon-jime” are the most popular types, and each are used for different occasions. This party is going on forever, but I have work tomorrow… when can I leave? Now is the time for Tejime. “All attention and hands please! Yooo … *clap*!” Alright, now to put on our shoes and run to catch the last train!
