AQUARIUM

水族館[SUIZOKUKAN]

Japan has the largest number of aquariums per capita in the world. Japanese aquariums are home to diverse species, including the dugong, a creature once believed to be a mermaid, and the whale shark, the endangered and largest fish species. The Jellyfish Aquarium has gained recent popularity especially among young people. Ritsu got stung by a jellyfish while swimming in the sea when he was a child. Since then, he had despised jellyfish until he visited the Jellyfish Museum. He was completely blown away by thousands of jellyfish mystically floating in a giant tank like an amazing piece of moving art. It completely altered his perspective of the jellyfish sting. “Well, ‘every rose has its thorn’ as they say.”
